.....The City of Northfield is very proud to have its own police department however you should remember that as a part time force the NPD is not on duty on a 24/7 basis. Thus, should you have an emergency always call 911.
.....The NPD is made up of a chief and 5 officers who regularly attend state mandated training and as such are certified / qualified by the State of Kentucky. The NPD maintains an office in the Finley office complex. The Department works staggered shifts and there are no set regular hours of duty so as to prevent “evil doers” from learning a fixed pattern of patrol. .....Should you need a “house watch” while away from the city
please call the NPD (as explained below) well in advance of
your departure.

Northfield and respond to 911 emergency calls. For non

RECENT POLICE REPORTS

There was an automobile invasion in the parking lot of the Mall of St. Matthews in January. The perpetrator hid in the back seat of the woman’s car until she arrived home at the 2200 block of Wynnewood Circle. Items were taken from the home. The investigation is being handled by Metro detectives.
There was reported a break-in during the first week of February at a home in the 2000 block of Glenview Avenue. A purse was taken and later found with $7 missing. There were seven traffic citations issued in February.
